Philippines’ Typhoon Haiyan Response
Super Typhoon Haiyan(locally known as Yolanda) rippied through cenrtal Philipines on 8 November.
Along with our local partner,Peace Winds Japan have started to conduct the asssement on the ground and get prepared for respond to their needs, with an initial focus on food and hygiene provisions.
According to the local partner,on the eastern island of Leyte where thousands are believed dead, all are in desperate need but especially basic relief items such as rice, beans, dried fish, cooking oil, sleeping mat, blanket, toothbrushes and laundry soap.
Peace Winds Japan will continue survey the situation and decide how we can best help deliver the assistance.
