One Year Report for the Great East Japan Earthquake
It has been over one year since the Great East Japan Earthquake occurred on March 11, 2011.We would like to take this opportunity to express our greatest gratitude to our donors around the world for supporting Peace Winds Japan(PWJ) during this past year for its relief and recovery programs targeting those affected by this catastrophe of unprecedented magnitude.
PWJ distributed relief goods in the initial emergency phase, followed by programs supporting temporary housing, youth activities, and economic recovery. Our assistance so far has been made possible by the generous donations and grants totaling JPY 85 million (approx. USD 10 million), for which PWJ is most grateful.
