[Middle East Crisis: Emergency Response] Distributing Emergency Supplies to Displaced People in Lebanon

Following the attacks on Iran by America and Israel, the situation in the Middle East is deteriorating rapidly. As the conflict spreads to various regions, Lebanon, which has suffered attacks and a ground invasion by Israel, is experiencing dire consequences. As of March 7, 2026, the death toll has reached 294, with 1,023 people injured. Around 112,525 people are living as evacuees in 514 shelters.

Peace Winds began gathering information immediately after the outbreak of the Middle East crisis. While obtaining information on the number of displaced people and their needs from our partner organization and other relevant agencies, Peace Winds coordinated relief efforts. On March 7, 2026, in collaboration with our local partner, Peace Winds distributed clothing and blankets to displaced people living at a school in Baabda, Mount Lebanon Governorate.

Thanks to your generous donations, we were able to respond quickly to those who fled with only the clothes on their backs. We are truly grateful for your support.

Israeli attacks on Lebanon and evacuation orders are ongoing, and the Ministry of Social Affairs in Lebanon has announced that the number of displaced people may exceed 450,000 in the future.

Peace Winds will continue to provide necessary assistance to those displaced. We sincerely appreciate your generous support.
