[Japan] 2024 January Noto Peninsula Earthquake Emergency Support
A major earthquake of magnitude 7 occurred in Ishikawa Prefecture at around 16:10 on January 1, 2024.
In response to this, an emergency support team of Flying Search and Medical Team “ARROWS” was dispatched to the area.
The emergency support team consists of doctors, nurses, rescue workers, and a disaster relief dog team, and will investigate the disaster situation and support needs, as well as provide search and rescue support, medical support, and emergency supplies support.
●A temporary clinic was opened at a junior high school in Suzu City and immediately began to offer medical services
●Provide material support in many ways including by the sea
●Water supply support gives hope to the people who were severely affected by the disaster
●Investigating isolated villages by helicopter
●After 124 hours since the earthquake, a woman in her 90s, who was buried in a collapsed house, has been rescued.
